Our History:

We formed this program to help those with chronic illness. We have seen such a need for hope. For guidance for the newly diagnosed, for patients to have a safe, hopeful place. We have also seen those with chronic illness struggle with body positivity, self worth. Feelings of hopelessness.

Our Mission:

We strive to be there to encourage you to embrace you, to flourish. To help you find hope through providing resources for body positivity, online and in person support groups. We’re offering online forums centered around hope, positivity and achieving goals. We will also offer in person and virtual events.

Ambre is a mom, advocate, and writer. She brings years of non profit management experience. She has also volunteered with various organizations to help those with a chronic illness. She was a Community Leader for Florida and Mississippi, where she held virtual and in person events for dysautonomia.

She is passionate about body positivity, and enteral nutrition education. She has spent time advocating for gastroparesis patients on Capitol Hill. She has also participated in photoshoots to help promote/encourage body positivity for those with medical devices, & chronic illness.

Ambre has dysautonomia, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, gastroparesis, colonic inertia, and endometriosis. She has a G-Tube, J-tube and a colostomy.

Her dedication, hope and motivation led her to create Chronically Strong. Where she will strive to give hope, encourage and empower others to see themselves beyond their diagnosis, and to have hope for a future.
Aly is a very passionate individual whose calling is to help others. Currently, she is pursuing a Radiography degree in addition to already having a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration, and being a certified nursing assistant.

She has experience in assisting others with disabilities including chronic illnesses and brings a unique point of view of the healthcare system to Chronically Strong. Throughout her experiences she has learned the importance of transparent honest communication while remaining mindful, empathetic, and compassionate towards others.

She looks forward to getting to know everyone and begin making a difference in their lives.
Chelsea comes to Chronically Strong after decades of being a patient herself. She is working on her Master’s degree in Social Work, towards the goal of becoming a therapist who works with children who have chronic health issues.

Chelsea has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (Hypermobile subtype), Chiari I Malformation, Intracranial Hypertension, Common Variable Immune Deficiency, POTS/Dysautonomia, and Addison’s disease. These cumulative experiences have prepared her for understanding medical points of view while being a mindful, reflective, and compassionate listener.

Chelsea is eager to facilitate groups and to create a supportive environment in which you feel comfortable in trusting your peers and in the therapeutic process. She is looking  forward to working with you and helping to promote empowerment through support and education. Let’s work together to achieve your goals!

A Word from Ambre:

This project holds special meaning to me. It has become my main motivation for this program and my advocacy. I’ve created this section to showcase various photography projects I’ve worked on. Whether they were for awareness, self confidence, or simply to empower and encourage others. I’m also personally working on #RedefiningBeauty, and also #ImperfectlyBeautiful.
Showing the person, not the diagnosis. Showing your beauty. It does not matter whether you have a medical device, ie: ostomy, enteral tube, port, picc; These do not take away your worth. They do not take away your beauty. My goal is to encourage you, to empower you to see beyond them, to see your worth, to see your beauty.
I am working to launch a national campaign regarding this. If any photographer or spoonie would like to work with me on this, or submit their photos to be added to this page and campaign, please reach out to me.
